I don't know why, but recently I've quite like the Boardwalk Empire soundtrack.

Im getting quite the hard-on for this tune! There's not been a tune that has made me buzz all over and play on repeat since the prodigy 'warrior dance'

(being in belgium you've already probably heard this last year lol!)

New Daft Punk anyone? Far too infectious, back to the 70s/80s groove.

For the past week (and most days to be honest), I have been listening to

and
and
and
of Einaudi.

I am fortunate enough to just have got home from a live concert in Sheffield, so I suspect I shall be listening to even more! It is, as is all music, much better live.

Skálmöld - Hel (lyrics)

These guys rock® -  The viking saga's in black metal; love the part when Hel replies @ 2:48ish - not so often you hear a woman rock this hard ..

to quote:

"The subject of the record is characterised by ethnical style, the scene is ancient Iceland, Vikings and other northern myths. The songs tell a story of Hilmar, a vagrant that gets the challenge to fight the children of Loki, Fenrisúlfur, Miðgarðsormur and Hel (The woman on the cover). The listener follows heroic battles with joy, sorrow and great victories."
