3PL FRAGO EAGLE'S SUMMIT V

SITUATION  
GROUND: No change, as per Ref C.

ENEMY FORCES: As per Ref C.  ISAF have been advertising to the local population that they are planning on upgrading the solar power station in Limari as part of a major reconstruction project. In response the Taliban have sent reinforcements from the north of the region southwards, in unknown numbers, in an attempt to maintain their influence over the local population of the town and surrounding area.

FRIENDLY FORCES:  As per Ref C.  4Tp, Y Coy, 45Cdo are currently occupying FOB Mikis in the north of the town.  Elements of Y Coy and the ANA have been making slow progress moving from Green Base up towards the Solar Plant and are still currently to the west side of the wadi in Orcarif.
 
BN COMD'S INTENT (2UP): 1VCB are to assist the CLR with Logistical support functions and provide embedded OMLTs within 4th Kandak, 3rd Bde, 205th Corps ANA.
COY COMD'S INTENT (1UP):  A Coy is tasked to assist the CLR with additional logistical support and force protection to maintain the flow of essential supplies to the outlying bases of operation. 

ATTS 7 (Sphinx) Bty - 29Cdo RA, K Bty - 5 Regt RA, 662 Sqn AAC, 27 Sqn RAF.

MISSION   
CLEAR Conduct a Fighting Patrol to clear a future major convoy route of enemy fighters.

EXECUTION 
Concept Of Ops   
INTENT:  3Pl are currently re-orged in compound 68 following clearing the majority of the town of Limari.  From here they are to continue searching all remaining compounds towards the Solar Plant, to clear the area of any enemy combatants and destroy any arms and ammunition caches that may be found.  Due to Y Coys slow progress northwards, upon reaching the Solar Plant 3Pl are to requisition any available vehicles and move south across the Crow River Bed Bridge to clear all compounds in the town of Bramar, following back the route of the proposed engineering convoy.  Upon task completion a new HLS will be secured and return to KAF executed.

SOM: As per 30A

MAIN EFFORT: Clear town of Limari and Bramar of enemy.

ACTIONS ON CONTACT:
  On IED Pre-seen - Stop, seek alternate route.
  On Small Arms Contact - Flight through the contact if possible, but be wary of a "come on".
  On IED Strike - On foot: go firm, barma to casualty, then retreat via proven route to a secure location to treat.
                         In veh: go firm, push Mastiff/Ridgeback forward to check area is safe, then tow vehicle to safety.
