Well Chris was looking at adopting 2 African style maps that are pending release so if we take the maps on these are the sort of OpFor we'd be looking at certainly.
Africa? Awesome. Does this mean we're all going to have to watch Wild Geese, Black Hawk Down and Tears Of The Sun? If we watch Tears of the Sun we can learn the proper drills for walking backwards and firing while being assaulted by a battalion. As you do.

I've seen a Caiman armoured truck in the works. It's no Mastiff and the US seems to be the only country that use it, but it is a BAE Systems vehicle. Might be worth a look down the line if the British Army ever adopt them. Much as I love zooming around in the Landies and Jackals a unit of this sort would be truly epic for convoy ops.

Goodness it looks horrid. Besides the fact that I don't see it being adopted by the British armed forces, the gear on the model is all spam/generic stuff.

I don't really get the Project Reality thing. They're marketing it as being a standalone gametype mod type of thing, which seems pretty retarded given that gametypes and mods/addons are two separate things in ArmA 2. I get the impression it's basically going to be a set of units that are balanced against each other, and therefore not really suitable to be used alongside other addons.
Maybe it's just me.

Kinda my thoughts exactly - 'standalone' in the context of Arma seems puzzling. TBH though, the only thing I'm really itching for is their Afghan map, not really fussed about the rest. Tell what I would like though: a model of the new pimped up LSW with RIS grip and LSW/SA80A2 with the new Eclan OS4X sight...now that would be worth getting yer knickers in a twist over.

Stop it with your irrational love of the LSW. Seriously. It's shit. Also, the handguard on the L85 is longer than that of the L86, so the gucci new Daniel Defence RIS handguard won't fit it.
If I see you taking an LSW in any mission I'm in, I'll shoot you myself. I thought I'd made that clear already.
Back to Project Reality; I never got into it. As Steve said, I assumed it was a load of balanced units. The video was a bit chad and the kit on show, for the infantry at least, is soon to be out-dated bar a couple of things such as the L85 with the new handguard and ACOG. As a whole, it's not really something I'm too bothered about at the minute.
