Just a few from today's monstro-sized Phase 1.

The recruits at the target indication range.

Heading off to the first RV of the exercise phase. I think it's Nieldo closest to the camera.

Delta fireteam covering the objective during the final section attack.

Obligatory team photo. I'm not even going to attempt to try and name everyone.

Six from Op Cherry, our first proper mission in ArmA 2.

Tooling up at the platoon harbour.

1 Section waiting for the off and probably talking about how great 1 Section is.

Getting into herringbone shortly after an obstacle crossing. Shortly after this, a comms cock-up led to FSG opening up early, so the rifle sections ended up having to skip their last two RVs and advanced directly on the objective.

After securing the target buildings, we set dems on the enemy vehicles and withdrew to a safe distance before detonating them. Not pictured: me going "fuck, wait, no no no!" when I realised I hadn't pressed the record key in Fraps.

Alex kicking it old style with an M16A2. Roll on the day when we get British gats, though.

The entire platoon at the FSG position. The picture is greatly lacking in allyness because I was taking it, so therefore my awesome tache is nowhere to be seen.

Good game, initial desync weirdness aside. We did what we went in to do, didn't take any casualties, and despite FSG shooting their load a bit early, things went pretty smooth. Good effort all who attended, especially the new guys, who were absolutely spot on. Hats off especially to Prydain, who was spot on as my 2IC, Dark for performing admirably as my lead scout. I have to admit I didn't see much of the other groups, but I'm willing to bet that they were all similarly mega tonight.

Here's to more games with that sort of turnout!

I'm kneeling of the left, covered googles. I have to admit I did enjoy being the HQ medic in the haphazard mesh that was 2 Section. I didn't have to take an LMG or an AT weapon. :D
I made Steve look stupid, and all I got was AIDS along with this signature. Umweeoo!

Pic3 - everyone waiting for the very special me. Sigh ... sorry guys. Didn't even fire a single round because of the bloody ping + desync I've had, I'm surprised I haven't died at that farm.

Also, turned out it was my new housemate downloading midget porn at the time that killed my connection. According to her, having an upload speed of 80kb/s and dl of 10kb/s is perfectly fine ...

I've set up QoS + limited her bandwidth (She said 10kb/s is fine for her, didn't she  ;D).

Its funny, didn't fire a round, didn't have cause to, but I had a bloody good time. Touching off the explosives near the end made up for that though, I thought I was gonna cum. ;D

Next mission, may I not have to crawl through 20 feet of cow shit? :D

As Platoon Commander I felt duty bound not to mention the dead female unarmed civilian that was in the white building my Section pushed through...

It was either the 203 one of my lads fired in, the grenade I threw in after, or the massive weight of fire we threw down as Charlie fire team pushed into the building.

Her fault really, shouldn't have been hiding in a building that there was a terrorist firing out of! As an aside the AI were fantastic, the guy we killed in 2 Sections building, prior to our assault he was throwing hand grenades out of his doorway at the building 1 Section was taking cover in!

A great thanks to the oppos in FSG, and thank you for bearing with me, especially to the more real-life experienced Swoop. What you all did really well was target designation and effectively destroying these targets. It was beautiful. One note though: I know it´s fun to blast away, but you need to conserve ammunition. Luckily the platoon harbor was a stone´s throw away and resupply runs could be done quickly, but it won´t be next time.

Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver. Situation excellent. I attack

That was a civilian then? All I saw was a pile of bodies and some AK's. We put an awful lot of fire into that building.

The civvie woman was at one point going to be scripted to grab a weapon if we killed the guy in the barn (I wanted to hear "she's unarmed, watch your- OHFUCKSHE'SONEOFTHEM!" on TS), but I totally forgot about her.

Can civvies pick up weapons? I am sure they have no gear slots or something like that.

I think if I came up against a woman I would definitely have UGL'ed her... on purpose this time.
